Makinzee Boyer, Contributing Writer

Makinzee Boyer is a sophomore here at Normal West High School. This is her first year in the journalism class and as a contributing writer. Outside of journalism, she is involved in the Student Council. She is excited to write about the different sports at West through The Paw Print. Some of her interests include Taylor Swift; (her favorite album being Speak Now); reading the Twilight series, and watching all sports.

Normal West’s Athletic Trainer, Colleen Daniels has worked at West for 10 years. Her role here at West should be an inspiration to students who are interested in sports medicine. Youll see Daniels on the sidelines or courtside of every home athletic event, and you may even see her on the sideline of various away games, especially during the football season.

Veteran teacher April Schermann was recently awarded Computer Science Teacher of the Year by a nonprofit organization Project Lead the Way. Schermann is considered a leader throughout the halls here at Normal West, so although no one is surprised by this well-deserved prestigious award, the students and staff could not be prouder.
