As 2026 comes to a start, the Normal, IL business, Fusion Brew, is celebrating its 20-year anniversary with celebrations all week.
The boba shop, located on main street, features a variety of teas, coffees, and juices.
Rebecca and Virgil Hovar first opened their cafe on Dec. 5, 2005 on the corner of Kingsley and Hovey.
It is now managed by their daughter, Sarah Hovar, and employees consisting of high school and college students, as well as Bloomington-Normal citizens.
14 years ago, they relocated to Main St., where it famously stands now.

With bubble tea being a unique drink to the town at the time, the Hovars took a risk in opening.
The cafe was the first local business to feature these special drinks as the main part of its menu, but now,
the shop famously offers coffee, juices, and fruit teas, as well as vegan-friendly baked goods and quick bites.
Fusion Brew has turned into a space great for studying, working, and meeting with friends, with their relaxed and cozy atmosphere.
To celebrate their 20 years, Fusion Brew is offering promotions and prizes all week from January 12-16.
They will be releasing new merchandise, giving out gift cards and scratch off cards, and having different promotions everyday of the week.
The celebration is open to all customers, online and in-store. Make sure to check them out this week to participate in these offers!
