Voltaire Grant, Co-Editor-in-Chief

Voltaire Grant, a senior and Co-Editor-in-Chief here on the NCWHS Paw Print, is an avid reader and writer. They’re specifically in the D&D Club here at West and have been a part of the Scholastic Bowl in the past. They write fiction/world-building projects, and they are in the process of creating an RPG-style project and have been told by peers that said project is incredibly vivid as well as inspiring. They enjoy collecting classic books, along with books by author/artist, Junji Ito. They are also an avid music listener with a wide-spread taste in all types of music genres from heavy metal to classical music. Their main aspiration is to follow the lead of their father, who has been working as a journalist for 30 years.

The 2023-2024 Paw Print staff was recently awarded a $1500 grant from the Illinois Press Association and Illinois Farm Bureau. This funding will be used to aid in the rebirth of the newspaper. The first purchase that the class will be making is a new camera! Above, the class accepted the check from representatives from both the Illinois Press Association and Illinois Farm Bureau.
