The Normal West FFA leaders have hit the ground running this school year, planning lots of activities and getting the school community involved.
On Friday, September 22, Normal West FFA had their first meeting. At the meeting, students learned about the FFA leaders and some things they have up their sleeves for this school year.
Miss Caitlin Hayes is in her first year as the NCWHS adviser. She is excited with the group of student leaders she has this school year.
“They are driven for success this year,” she noted.
Hayes also encourages anyone in an FFA class to attend the next FFA meeting on October 19, 2023 at Normal West.
In addition to the first meeting, on September 28, some FFA students brought their tractors to school. Participating students parked their tractors behind the school on a favorite day of celebration that has been around since 1996. Former Normal West FFA teacher “Doc” established the tradition in 1996, and since then, the tradition has been fun for the students.
