The West student section has shown up all year for the Wildcat football team, and this week, the boys are hoping for another big turnout to help them secure their 6th win of the season!

Looking forward to their homecoming game, the Wildcat football team has been planning and preparing to show out for their school in their week 7 matchup against the Springfield Senators.

The team is expecting a packed student section to help drive them to victory.

“The student section makes the games. I love looking into the stands and seeing them just packed full with people,” shared senior captain Ty Upton.

Over the last couple of weeks, the team has come together in incredible ways to support each other and play their part on the team.

“The atmosphere before the game in the locker room is unreal. Everybody is so locked in and ready to go. It’s one of the most unique feelings ever,” Upton reported.

Going into this game, the WIldcats are looking to step on the field and take care of business.

Senior captain Trey Frost feels confident in his team’s ability to shut down the Senators: “I believe we have the game planned and have more than enough skill to beat them and get our 6th win, which will also guarantee a playoff game,” Frost confidently added.

As the Normal West Wildcats go into this game, they are looking to keep their winning streak rolling and come out on top with a big win to kickoff homecoming weekend.
