If you’ve walked down the world language/social studies department hallway, you’ve probably noticed an extra artistic display on some of the abandoned lockers.
COMBINATION: An Art Exhibit was originally created as a way for Normal West students to show their artistic talents through abandoned lockers. Mr. Ali Akyuz, a Normal West art teacher and his Ceramics & Sculpture 2 class picked a theme for each locker and brought it to life with the materials provided.
The project is a way for Akyuz to teach students about installation art. He’s been doing this project since 2018.
