Each day, our lunch is made and served by the cafeteria ladies who make sure to tell us to enjoy our day. But, how many students do you think personally know their cafeteria staff? Let’s meet some of Normal West’s Cafe Staff.
Jodi Wharton:
Jodi Wharton has been a part of the Cafe Staff for five years. Her motivation is to serve kids and to be a positive part of their lives each day. One thing she would love others to know about her is that she likes working with others and being a role model. Jodi’s favorite dish to prepare is the homemade mac and cheese.
Linda Wesley:
Linda Wesley has been a part of the cafe staff for the longest, with 25 years under her belt. Her motivation is greeting the students each day. Linda wants others to know that she is very friendly. Her favorite food to serve is breakfast.
Reagan:
Reagan has been a part of the Cafe Staff for 14 years. Reagan loves that there is good-quality food served to students. Watching her kids grow up in the system has made her value the nutrition program and its cleanliness. Reagan’s favorite thing to prepare is cookies for students. One thing she wants others to know is: “Life is way too short to be sad. Look for the good in every single day because the badness will overwhelm you,” Reagan stated.
Molly:
Molly has been a part of the cafe staff for 24 years. She loves seeing students each day and wants others to know how good she is at diamond art. Others say that she is very fun to be around. Molly’s favorite dish is the mashed potatoes.
Tina:
Tine has been a part of the Cafe Staff for almost two years. Tina likes to interact with students. She even knows some of their sandwich orders. Tina loves the St. Louis Cardinals and often attends their games. Her favorite dish is the popcorn chicken bowls.
Connie McHenry:
Connie McHenry has been a part of the Cafe Staff for almost two years. She loves interacting with kids each day. One thing she would like others to know about her is that she is a Cardinal and Rams fan. Connie’s favorite dish to prepare is the popcorn chicken bowl.
