Normal West and Peoria Notre Dame united on Saturday, Jan. 27 to raise money for St. Jude. They all were “Dylan’s Defenders” on this day.
Dylan Langholf is a junior at PND who recently finished his chemotherapy to treat embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma which is cancer of the muscle, tendons, cartilage or bones.
The game ended in West’s favor with a final score of 48-33, with junior Alex Austin stepping up along with senior Nate Moore both contributing 15 points. Another key player was junior Mike Zaleski with 10 points and 6 rebounds.
Next up, the Wildcats will be playing in the Midwest Crossroads Shootout, taking place at Normal West on Saturday, Feb. 3rd. West’s game starts at 5:30 pm against Washington.
