The Lady Cats of Normal West have gone through some struggles this season, but they’ve found themselves in a bit of a win streak with their latest win against Champaign Centennial last night.
The final score was 62-52, giving the Lady Wildcats their second road game win of the season.
The Wildcats had an all around positive scoring performance by the team, with the senior leaders Olivia Patton with 13 points and Meredith Bertsche with 9. Both Patton and Bertsche shot a combined 9/14 from the free throw line, as well.
Normal West, all in all, did a good job at limiting scoring opportunities for most of the Centennial team, but 2 players in Emers and Horton combined for a total of 41 of the Chargers 52 points.
With this win, the Lady Wildcats sit at 5-13 on the season, but wins like this help build momentum for the team to finish out the year strong going forward.
Go cheer on your Wildcats on January 13th as they continue their in season tournament against Central High School at 10:30am or DeKalb High School at 3:00pm!
If you miss those games, go watch them on January 16th at 7:00pm at MacArthur High School.
