Lunch reviews of the week

Mini Cheese Ravioli with a Cheese Breadstick

Ryan Gibson

The lunch ladies have done it again with this Italian dish. The cheese breadstick, which was probably leftover from yesterday’s chili day, was still pretty delicious with the gooey cheese in the middle. The revival of the breadstick is pure art from the lunch ladies at Normal West. The mini cheese ravioli, which was covered in marinara sauce, was filled with creamy cheese inside of the pasta. This is one of the favorite special dishes that is on the menu for West students. Overall this dish would get 5 out of 5 stars.

Grilled Cheese Sandwich and Tomato Soup

Ryan Gibson

What’s a better pairing than a grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup? There’s quite a lot actually. Once you work your way past the rock hard crust of the grilled cheese, the one slice of American cheese really tries to save the combo but falls short here. The tomato soup in a styrofoam bowl is lack luster with hardly any taste of soup at all. Overall this dish would get a 2.5 stars out of 5.
