Disney to remake classics in 2019

The live-action “Dumbo” will appear on the big screens in March of 2019.

Disney ended 2018 with a “Step [back] in Time” with a remake of the 1964 hit movie,“Mary Poppins”

Looking forward to 2019, Disney has announced the release of three classic remakes including, “Dumbo”, “Aladdin”, “The Lion King”.

Tim Burton’s remake of “Dumbo” will be a live-action adaption of the classic 1941 animated movie with appearances of Eva Green, Michael Keaton and Colin Farrell. The expected release date is March 29, 2019.

Guy Ritchie will direct the live-action version “Aladdin”, with cast, Mena Massoud,Naomi Scott, and Will Smith. The movie has been rumored to be released on, May 24, 2019.

Disney fan, Bella Delsasso (12) said, “I’m looking forward to live-action ‘Aladdin’ because it’ll be mostly people, so it won’t be as weird as movies with mostly animals.”

Donald Glover will voice Simba in the live-action remake of “The Lion King” scheduled to be released on July 19, 2019. This movie will also star James Earl Jones,Seth Rogen, Billy Eichner, and John Oliver.

Normal West junior and Disney fanatic, Abigail Rosenberger said, “I’m looking most forward to “Lion King” to see how they decide to change the original, iconic movie into a live action movie with all the CGI.”

For those who love the standard Disney animation, don’t worry, Disney also prepares for the release of “Toy Story 4” and “Frozen 2”.

“I’m excited for ‘Toy Story 4’ but nothing will ever be as good as the first one,” said Delsasso.

“Toy Story 4” is said to be released on June 21, 2019 with a new focus point being on a newly developed character, Forky.

After the massive success of the 2013 movie, Disney will remake“Frozen”, given the clever name “Frozen 2”. Disney will “Let it Go” on November 27, 2019.

Marvel and Star Wars nerds, don’t get your Mickey ears in a twist. Disney is set to release two additional Marvel movies along with “Star Wars Episode 9” in 2019.

Female-led Marvel superhero film hits screens with “Captain Marvel” said to come to theaters on March 8, 2019 which shares a date with International Women’s Day.

“Avengers: Endgame”, featuring Chris Hemsworth, Chris Pratt, Scarlett Johansson and many more of your favorite Marvel heroes will be out on April 26, 2019.

“I really like the new characters and I am looking forward to seeing how they end this trilogy of them”, Rosenberger  said about “Star Wars Episode 9”.

Not much information has been released about “Star Wars Episode 9”, but don’t let your light saber fizzle down, it’s coming from a galaxy: however, it may be far far away.

Disney fans should prepare for a “Whole New World” of movies in 2019.
