Madrigals is a medieval-themed performance consisting of entertainment from the orchestra and choir, including a small skit from individual students within the choir.
The yearly Madrigals performance occurred on Saturday, Feb. 17 at 2 pm and 7 pm and Sunday, Feb. 18 at 2 pm.
The choir sang many medieval-sounding songs like “Dessert Fugue” and “Admoramus Te,” but also included other more-modern songs like “Wannabe” by Spice Girls.
While watching the performance, guests enjoyed the infamous Busy Corner pie, as they chose one of four flavors, previously with the payment of tickets.
Guests also enjoyed wassail, a various fruit hot drink, to clench their thirst while watching.
One particular part of the performance that was entertaining was “The Masque,” a skit performed by Anna Klaire Hawkins, Cam Brown, Seth Meyer, Lauren Cushing, Emily Masters, and Tyler Charlett.
“The Masque” is about the family of a father working for the king, and they end up ditching their jobs to live a happy life.
The pun of the joke is to “always call the caterer” because they won’t ditch you.
