On March 7, 2017, expect to see a new stand-up comedy show from Amy Schumer. Schumer, also a writer, actress, and producer, announced in November she would be working with Netflix.

Amy Schumer is a 35-year-old from Manhattan, New York. She is mainly known for acting in “Trainwreck”. She also stars in “Inside Amy Schumer”. She recently released a book, “The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo” in 2016.

Schumer’s acts include topics such as feminism and rape culture. She also supports body positivity for women of all ages.

Schumer tells CNN media reporter, Frank Pallotta, that she is, “Very happy to be a part of the Netflix family for this special.”

Netflix is the leading internet TV network, with a variety of comedic stand-up series by acclaimed names such as Chris Rock, Michael Che, Bo Burnham.

Schumer adds her own unique talent for millions around the world to watch. Lisa Nishimura,  Vice President of original documentary and comedy at Netflix says, “Totally fearless and always hilarious, Amy Schumer’s bold and singular voice is a match for Netflix and our global comedy fans.”

Kali Hester (12) is an avid watcher of Netflix. She says, “She (Schumer)  is a woman who really speaks her mind, but she is funny and I will be watching her stand-up when it comes out.”

In early November, Schumer taped the show at Denver, Colorado’s Bellco Theater.

Netflix has increasingly become a great platform for entertainment and humor, that is exactly what Schumer will bring to the fans of her and Netflix.
