On Wednesday, September 27th, the newly-formed Normal West Writing Club hosted their first speaker meeting of the 2023-2024 school year.
The guest speaker was Tate Lewis-Carroll, an accomplished poet, who has written many books, including “What’s Left.”
“What’s Left” is an book that Lewis-Carroll wrote after his father passed away, and it has outstanding illustrations, and wonderful poetry.
Olivia Ruff, the advisor of the Writing Club, and an English teacher here at Normal West, went on to say, “I loved how my students engaged with Taylor, and how he shared some writing tips with everyone. Plus, they overall just enjoyed the experience, and liked getting to know him.”
The Normal West Writing Club will continue to have speakers throughout the year, so stay tuned for further information.
